Lovely Daisies

White daisies in a meadow

Clothed in your sweatshirt
I strolled down the sidewalk
Sniffing from your black coat
The scent that you left off

Oh how could you leave me like that
They called you an honourable, silver knight
Freaking gorgeous as the skyline
More enticing than the night sky

Now I’m stranded like a firefly
Among people so filled with joy
Clueless, where to carry my dim light
Must I continue with my weak flight?

In a spiral of agony
And its deafening cacophony
Waiting hopelessly in my room
Looking up at the pretty moon

Where are you, my beautiful knight
Come embrace me once
I promise
Everything will be alright

Just say my name
I want to hear it once
Slipping from your velvety tongue
Your husky voice, my ears so drunk

Come knock on my door
Break it open if you find it closed
Or find the keys to my heart
Our lips, the only things locked

And if you ever think they are hard to find
Just know that there’s just you on my mind
Have me close my eyes or look away
And surprise me with your warm embrace

Allow me to drown in your eyes
Die in your arms
And cry on your chest
For your love is such a difficult test

Your mesmerizing touch
And my passionate fiery soul
Something to love
But your heart remains so cold

We meet up and you make my mind hazy
Speechless, I stutter
As you gift me lovely daisies
Oh warm up my love, β€˜cause I’m done being crazy
